Terrorism in Education Is There Any One To Fight Educational Terrorism?

Activists & Victims It is no longer surprising to know that students get admission in educational institution based on political and/or financial pressure from their guardians. Students who finally succeed in getting into renowned professional colleges or universities need to get associated with political party to get the associated ʽfringe benefitsʼ. In the midst of such practices there are certainly those who try to make their way based on merit and hard work. They are the ones who are direct victims of educational terrorism. Fractions from the teaching faculty and administration are also involved in supporting educational terrorism. They force sincere students to sidelines, into distress and depression.Hope! With the increasing practice of aptitude tests for admissions and quality educational environments, where drop out ratio is higher, we can only hope that the system learning by its mistakes and realizes the disadvantages of such practices in the long run. These positive signs are driven mostly to create or maintain their accreditations and international standing.Stakeholders It seems that the stake holders of Educational system do not consider themselves as stake holders at all, these practices seems to be ʽnone of their concernʼ. Some how they fail to relate the implications of such things in the long run, implications in the social structure and implications on the national character. Together these two determines the course of development.Perception of Development Generation of young minds, who had been groomed in achieving targets and making their way to a seemingly successful life, utilizing the education related terrorism, are the ones who eventually end up in some senior position in public or private organization. What would they preach and what lesson is conveyed by their successful life on the next generation of young minds. Self-interest drives corruption, and corruption drives terrorism, terrorism drives destructive acts all together it narrows the perception of success and development. What, Who, When, Where & How? Internal and External Audit of Institutional Administration, Teaching & Learning Activities has to be implemented, first of all, on the existing system by independent bodies. Then gradually the educational machinery can be modified & tuned to highest efficiency.This demands dedication and clarity of objectives. It is therefore required to accept the private efforts of entrepreneurs and work in collaboration for the greater interest of the nation. The polarity of public and private educational sectors must end. It demands hearts that are not driven by self-interest but by national interest. The teaching community, students and parents must be addressed exclusively by the prime minister or president in their exclusive addresses to the nation, they should be given inspiration, proposals should be invited directly and participation should be increased to empower them.Rectification of educational system is not merely a provincial or ministerial matter, it is something which must be tackled directly form the top level, like defense and terrorism.
